About Us

In 1919, Frank D. Wyman and Henry Mock, the Sheriff of Rockland County, established Wyman-Mock Funeral Home on Franklin Avenue in Pearl River , New York . Several years later Frank D.Wyman and Henry Mock dissolved their partnership. In 1948, David Fisher Jr., the current owner’s father and native of Ramsey , New Jersey , began working at Wyman Funeral Home after graduating Renard School of Embalming in New York City . David Fisher, Jr. continued working for Wyman Funeral Home until he purchased it in 1952. At that time there was only one chapel because many families were still holding wakes in their homes. Shortly after purchasing the funeral home, David Fisher, Jr. added two more chapels. In 1973, the current owner of Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc., David Fisher III, started working for his father while attending American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Services. He graduated cum laude with the Class of 1975. Four years later,David Fisher III took over his father’s business and has continued to successfully operate the funeral home. David’s two sons Andrew and Christopher proudly joined their father, as New York State licensed Funeral Director in 1998 and 2001. Andrew and Christopher represent the third generation of funeral director in the family. Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home continues to give that caring and personal touch to each family that they come in contact with.
